My husband wanted to revisit some of my finest work. Here is his favorite poem (I've probably written two, so it's no high watermark) in its entirety. It is a haiku series. It is deep. Be prepared to be moved.
Moonlight in Memphis bounces off fake waterfall Tears shed for Elvis
I scratch my booty Gazing at mourners in pixels Wondering, "Why, Lord?"
Maybe I'm a fool Elvis was a handsome lad But not the end-all
Don't you all feel culturally enriched now?
