Poetry for the soul

I wrote this haiku series last year re: Elvis’ death, and after reminded of it I decided that I’d better go find it lest it be lost forever. Me and Basho…yep.

Moonlight in Memphis
bounces off fake waterfall
Tears shed for Elvis

I scratch my booty
Gazing at mourners in pixels
Wondering, “Why, Lord?”

Maybe I’m a fool
Elvis was a handsome lad
But not the end-all

Don’t you all feel culturally enriched now?
